Goals and Values
Our goal at Trinity is to lead the children to a personal relationship with God and nurture them in the Word of God. We want to equip them to go into the world sharing the promise of God.
Our purpose will be carried out with the following values as high priority:
- Provide a safe, loving and secure environment for children to explore their relationship with God
- Believe the teaching of God’s Word should be age-appropriate and presented in relevant and interactive ways
- Accept children as they are and attempt to meet their individual needs
- Pray for all children to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior
- Believe children are precious gifts from God
If you have any questions about the children and youth activities please contact Becky McClanathan at Becky.M@TrinityRalston.org
At Trinity, Sunday School classes are held for all ages from the beginning of September through the end of May from 9:45am-10:45am. Our teachers are certified in Safe Gatherings, a process that insures the children are in a safe environment.
3 & 4 year olds
The preschool class follows a Bible curriculum that is specially geared toward 3 and 4 year old’s development with easy to follow lessons. Kids will experience God through singing, discussions, interactions, and craft time.
Our elementary age classrooms are Kindergarten-2nd grade and 3rd-5th. Each class also follows age-appropriate curriculum designed to allow kids the chance to experience God. Music, Bible stories and discussions, videos, and other fun hands-on activities help bring each week’s lesson to life.
The Youth program at Trinity is split into classes for Middle School and High School held in the downstairs Youth Center called G-Alley or God’s Alley. This unique area is designed to catch the attention of the older kids, while giving them a fun environment to worship and have fellowship. The youth also spend time learning more about the Bible and how its teachings effect their own lives through group readings and discussions.
Youth Group meets twice a month. This is a time for them to get to know each other and God better through activities such as playing games, watching movies, going to dinner, volunteering out in the metro, working at the church, and just having fun!
Kids For Christ (KFC) is our midweek programming for children on Wednesday evenings during the school year. KFC is open to children in Kindergarten to 5th grade.
KFC nights focus on building relationships, having fun and growing closer to God. The night begins with a prayer and a meal. Kids then break into groups to do a Bible lesson, have fellowship or crafts. Each week holds new and exciting surprises!
Our young infants, toddlers, and children start off in the nursery. This program is designed for children aged 6 weeks old up to age 4. The nursery is open during Sunday Services, Sunday School, and Midweek Programing. Our nursery staff is certified in both First Aid and Safe Gatherings, helping to create a safe space for our children. While in the nursery, kids are encouraged to interact with each other, play pretend, read books, sing songs and have fun being creative.
