Mission Team

The Mission Team is the tireless group of men and women most interested in being "the hands and feet of Christ". They are involved in making sack lunches for the homeless, collecting donations for local pantries and disaster relief, sewing dresses for Haitian girls, and so much more. If you want to make a profound difference to the life of someone else, then this is the place for you.

Some of the projects the Mission Team spearheaded in 2020 include:
  • Collection of non-perishable food and items
  • Providing of sack lunches for the Stephen Center
  • Support for the Prayer Shawl Ministry and Lost & Found Clothing Center
  • Collection of gift cards for Youth Emergency Services (YES) and Living Hope Thanksgiving meals
  • Making of tie blankets for Project Harmony
  • Writing of Christmas cards to long-term care residents

The  Food Boat

We collect various non-perishable items and distribute them to local shelters and food pantries throughout the year. This  is done through the filling of our food boat. Each month, a new poem is written that tells what we are currently looking for. Then, you purchase the item and place it in our boat located in our Fellowship Hall. Once the boat is full, we take the items to where they are needed.

Poem for March:

March: in like a lion & out like a lamb
-so "tummy warmers" are this months jam!
Hot cereal like oatmeal or Malt-O-Meal is just fine
- and Cocoa to drink to accompany would be sublime!
Fill the boat with these warm winter cereals and drinks
-sure to nourish deserving folks, don’t you think?!

Stephen Ministries

Trinity has begun participating in the Stephen Ministries, a ministry that equips laypeople to do distinctively Christian care. Why Stephen Ministry? Stephen Ministry trains people in the basic skills necessary for helping others. Through lecture, discussion and experiential learning, people will learn how to be an effective listener, along with specific techniques for ministering to grieving people. Trinity will reap many, many blessings through its involvement in the ministry of care.

Dining For Women

Dining For Women is for those who are interested in learning about programs around the world that work towards improving the lives of women in children. Participants are encouraged to bring a dish to share potluck style along with your own table service. Following the meal, a video will be shown highlighting that month's featured program. All proceeds go to the showcased charity.

Let's serve together.
